Biography – Bitter:Sweet
Emerging during the Jazz-influenced Electronic era of the early aughts, Bitter:Sweet brought to the scene a cosmopolitan sound that captivated audiences worldwide.
Masterfully blending bold beats and sonic soundscapes with lush melodies, their genre-bending, cinematic sounds and elegant rhythms have become synonymous with style and allure, resonating across film, television, and major brand campaigns. Their productions have appeared on screen in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘Sex & the City’, and ‘Grey’s Anatomy, and ad campaigns for Victoria’s Secret, Coach, and Sheraton. To date, their sound continues to inspire, transcending trends with its enduring appeal.
With over half a million records sold, 350 million streams at Spotify, Apple, and Pandora, as well as all of their placement in films, TV shows, and global ad campaigns, Bitter:Sweet has quietly become one of the most widely heard bands in the world—despite their fame not yet matching their reach.
In 2025, Bitter:Sweet made a grand return with the release of a brand-new album. The title of its lead single, Baby Is Back, made that return unmistakably clear. What followed was a continuation of the band’s former success, first playing to a sold-out Los Angeles show, receiving tastemaker support from key non-commercial radio stations, and again being used by brands like Kiehl’s, Four Seasons, and L’Agence as part of their music branding initiatives.
For a band that continues to embody the art of effortless elegance, Bitter:Sweet’s return reminds listeners of the style and originality that first set them apart, and with more music on the way, Bitter:Sweet’s return feels less like a comeback and more like a quiet reaffirmation of the timeless artistry they create.
