“Booombastic” features no less than 22 fantastic tracks that are incredibly diverse and perfectly demonstrate Betty Booom’s openness to mixing many musical genres and to musically experimenting with timeless hits that once conquered the charts.
Betty Booom’s greatest love is Electro Swing, which is why this album is full of Electro Swing Mixes of songs that we’re sure everyone knows and loves. You will certainly enjoy the totally fresh versions of ‘Toxic’ and ‘Billie Jean’, which are Electro Swing tributes to these pop hits. For lovers of old swing tunes, Betty Booom has prepared Electro Swing Mixes of the timeless hits “Puttin’ On the Ritz” (with J Fitz’s wonderful vintage vocals) and “Mr. Sandman” in collaboration with La PetitOrchestre. As many as two versions of the hit ‘The Beat Goes On’ (Neo Swing Mix and Future Swing Mix) will prove to you that this producer’s creativity is endless!
Betty Booom loves to collaborate with other artists from the Electro Swing community, which is why the ‘Booombastic’ album could not be complete without remixes. Perfectly refreshed, modernized, and full of creative solutions – definitely worth paying attention to! Listen to her incredibly rhythmic remix of Marina & The Kats‘ ‘Ponder’, the spring and sunny vibe of ‘Swing in Spring’, which was originally performed by Wolfgang Lohr, Offbeat, and Nina Zeitlin, and the tasty, energetic remix of Da’Chabada’s ‘Chabada’. Betty Booom, together with Captain Matt, also prepared an Electro Swing Mix of ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ from the ballet ‘The Nutcracker’, and with the Ukrainian pianist DanyloM, a fantastic, full of electronic effects track ‘Kalyna’ and a delectable, club-like ‘The Barber’ with the characteristic theme from Rossini’s ‘Barber of Seville’.
Be sure to look out for the incredibly creative Swing House Mixes that Betty Booom has created in collaboration with Masha Ray. We are sure that the new versions of the hits “Sway” and “Bang Bang” will appeal to you and make you open up to this kind of musical experimentation. And if you want to listen to slightly calmer tracks, play “Jive Me Crazy” and “Backbeat”, compositions inspired largely by Swing Hop.
If you like musical journeys to different parts of the world, you will certainly enjoy the Italian club vibe in “Bella Ciao”, musical inspirations from the sea, i.e., shanties in “Wellerman” and real Balkan madness in “Balkan Bang”. 🌍
Betty Booom has also prepared something especially for Halloween – save her ‘Halloween Theme’, ‘Spooky Scary Skeletons’, sung by the amazing Ashley Slater, and a slightly rocking rendition of ‘Black Betty’ for that special occasion. 🎃
You can already see what a diverse and creative artist, DJ, and producer Betty Booom is. On the album ‘Booombastic’, absolutely everyone will find something for themselves, while being inspired and seeing how wonderfully the Electro Swing music genre is developing, thanks in part to Betty Booom and her unconventional approach to music and experimentation.

Betty Booom – Biography
Betty Booom is a Cape Town based DJ and producer whose heart beats equally for electronic and handmade music.
At only 29, she can already look back at ten years in the music business and has played at various clubs and festivals all over her home country. She has made a name for herself by fusing techno and house with catchy vintage-music elements: A combination that has developed into her very own, distinct sound.
Growing up in a family of musicians, she started playing the piano and got inspired by her father’s passion for collecting Jazz, Swing, Soul, and, Disco records. All of which have shaped her taste in music and have sparked her interest in music production.
Today, she releases original tracks in a style that can hardly be boxed in, but she tends to describe as “Techno with that Swing”.
No matter what soundscape she explores, her music keeps booming and boooming!
